Well today is rainy and I managed to come flying of my bike, breaking my fall with my elbows and knees! ouch! But I am now back in the office nursing a cuppa tea and planning my next move to raise money!
So far I have found the funding for a vehicle and raised enough money through donations to pay for nearly a whole flight to Kenya and back plus a first aid kit and 2x Yellow fever vaccinations.
This is a good start but I really hope those of you who are following the Africa Goal production progress and yet to give a donation may feel able too and do so soon. Every donation is appreciated whether is is £1 or £100!
As an incentive to donate I am now offering the following:
£10 and under = massive thanks!
£30 and over = a personal credit at the end of the film
£50 and over = personal credit & invite to the photographic exhibition held by Jonathan Taphouse, Africa Goal professional photographer.
£100 and over = personal credit & invite to the premier screening of Africa Goal 2010 plus photographic exhibition

Yay its the weekend!
Well considering I only just started the blog I think I have been a bit slack by not writing more regularly but I have been busy sending off more info packs and doing research about importing a vehicle to Kenya which is turning out to be a nightmare!
Got myself and Jonathan booked in for all our vaccinations, on my birthday no less! Lucky ol' me! And we have had our first few donations! whoohoo!
Keep em coming!

Rio Ferdinand!
Another rare sunny day in England! Last night I stayed up well past my bedtime finishing all the info fund raising packs I needed to send out this week. I am pleased to say that the first batch are already winging their way around the UK and some even around Europe and the States. Phew!
I made a slightly scary call to Rio Ferdinand's agent today who has asked for one of these info packs to be sent his way as Rio has voiced interest in having the project on his website. Fingers crossed he is not too busy being England Captain and has forgotten about us! It would be great to have him on board showing his support to the project.
So far the rest of my day is going pretty slow, filled with calls about insuring camera equipment, public liability and trying to get booked in to the local travel clinic for lots of nasty vaccinations! Ouch!!
Jonathan, a key member of the Africa Goal Production team, bless his cotton socks, has also been slaving away on my website and getting the THLMedia.com fully functioning! Its looking great and it wouldn't exist if it wasn't for Jonny!
Going to research some 4x4s now but I'll be back on later to confirm that the website is up and running and the DONATE button is working!

My first blog
So...its Sunday and yet again I am sat at my desk looking longingly out the window at the sunshine! However I won't let this stop me for long as I have many things on my list to do before Monday when I will be posting out my information/donation packs to you all!
So for now I must content myself with labeling Africa Goals promotional CD's, printing out millions of letters, copies of the budget and proposal. Not to mention starting my first blog - thanks to the advice of Gary and Sarah, my flatmates who listen to me waffle on about Africa Goal on an almost daily basis!
Its crunch time here at THLmedia headquarters. After weeks of hard work I am finally ready to start the bit I have been dreading...asking everyone I know to donate some of their hard earned money.
If I focus on the big picture too much its terrifying - I am asking a lot from you all I know but if I don't raise enough money it will be awful to let go of a project that I feel has so much potential to engage young people in Africa through football and touch on such a crucial subject as AIDS and HIV.
