Zimbabwe

We're officially in Zimbabwe! We crossed the boarder a couple of days ago from Zambia to Zimbabwe, over the Kariba Dam. It was a huge dam and had 6 sluice gates open gushing water! Sadly photos were not an option as every where in Africa dams, bridges etc seem to be very guarded and not fans of photography!

When in Harare, yesterday, we managed to screen a game in the outskirts of the city, we were very wary of filming as its still very possible to get arrested for having a camera. But we got some great footage and there was stacks on aids info given out. Sadly Ghana, the last african team in the World Cup, didnt make it through and were robbed if you ask me!

Today we head to Mozambique, we have a very long drive ahead of us but now there are not games every day it means we may get some down time and get to go snorkeling!

Only 3 countries and 11 days to go!

  1. Hi,
Hope you are all well and getting lots of footage & photos - and are having fun!
So glad to see this blog just moments after you first posted it..... some super photos! The went straight on FB but was so sorry to have just missed Jonny online. The computer goes on first thing in the morning & off last thing at night - to check for updates. There had not been any tweets, blogs or photos from the AG Team for 5 days, but had seen that the Seacom cable had broken, which links West Africa with Europe & Asia. It was good to see that AG had managed to upload 4 lots of photos & a couple of stories,
Hope you haven't had more mishaps & that you are all fully recovered!
We had an amazing long weekend away spent down in the New Forest, out on a magnificent motor yacht & jet sking on the Solent and swimming off the Dorset Coast! The weather continues to be glorious :)
Can't believe there are only 2 matches left - hope you can have agood rest afterwards.
    Eagerly awaiting your next blog
Lots of love & hugs to you both x x x
